Level 6 (High) - Initial implementation of the Community α (Thailand) should implement and maintain

Overview

The stages of development for Community α (Thailand) are designed to create a robust and strong community ready to function effectively with self governance and be an example to wider society.

In order to do this a strong work ethic will need to be employed, especially in the early stages, many of the initial state rules will be designed to ensure that the community is as productive as possible, consumerism and materialism will be discouraged and health and happiness of members an important consideration.

Applying technology and the scientific method to achieving productivity, self-sufficiency, health and growth will be emphasized.

Startup stage

Initially the community will be run like a business where financial stability is of primary concern, some product or service will need to be produced that earns income for the community, members will be expected to willingly exert their energy to this goal.

This stage will last until a good cross section of society is represented in the members and the community is diverse enough that groups are less likely to exert undue influence or derail the primary goals of the community, 400-800 members may be sufficient.

The most effective legal structure for managing assets will be decided on by the initial members.

The Izara Community concept is expected to work well for large communities where wide-scale social morality counters the self interest, coercion, and corruption that can affect smaller collectives.

At the startup stage the voting system will be employed, all members are involved in raising votes and their positions recorded, however due to risks of self governance in small communities a benevolent dictator will have veto power over all rules that pass a community vote.

Intermediate stage

Once a reasonable range of people are represented within the startup community the benevolent dictator is removed and veto power passed to a group of elders or similar.

This group is envisioned to be made up of long term members who have shown a strong commitment and understanding of the communities goals, methods for additional members to enter this group should be implemented.

The group will be allowed veto power, their veto being employed if their majority chooses to do so.

This intermediate stage is a transitional stage to allow for stronger self governance while still protecting the community from decisions that might counter it's core goals.

To pass to the final stage the community as a whole should have instilled core understandings of self governance and members show a high level of rational thinking in decision making. Having enough resources to collect and analyse data required for rational decision making might also be considered.

A rough estimate of 5,000-10,000 members would be required to pass to the final stage of development.

Self governance

Once the community has become successful and the members understanding of self governance, the scientific method, and the value of truth seeking has been strongly installed, all veto powers can be removed and decisions made purely according to the the social voting system.

It is hard to predict what will happen from this stage, if successful the community might enter the political realm and reorganize society with the hope of relieving suffering and forging a less dystopian future for the human race.
