A token currency could be implemented, all aspects of which are determined by self governance.
Distribution of wealth
Wealth in a capitalistic society is a primary method of concentrating power, with self governance the community can dictate the value of different tasks people perform and limitations on wealth.
Rewarding ability
The community can determine what skills are considered valuable and allocate tokens accordingly. The scientific method can be used to regularly test multiple people to see who achieves desired metrics the most effectively and reward them accordingly.
