Overview
In support of scaling the community a strong work ethic should be required or encouraged of members. A strong work ethic counters consumerism and encourages connections between members.
Focus on productivity
Communities can create rules that simplify life so members are more focused on productivity, this would serve the goals of scaling the community, self-sufficiency, and could ultimately make members more satisfied with life.
An example of this is to remove the stresses and energy required to pursue sexual relationships and procreate.
