= Overview =

Evil people with power want to control and [[Manipulation|manipulate]] the population into believing their evil acts are justified, this is hard to do when the population has the ability to assess their actions [[Truth seeking|rationally]] and without emotion.

Behaviors and beliefs develop that [[Bred to be lazy consumers|reduce peoples ability to think rationally]] and feed off our irrational animal natures, the strongest being fear and hatred.

= Fear =

A population will maintain an unjust power structure if they believe it is needed for their safety. This is why there is always an enemy or a crisis that  those in power are needed to protect against.

Examples include health scares, fragile economies, or the fear of an external enemy.

= Hatred =

When population are manipulated into hating others they disregard where their distrust should be focused, the people in power who feed the fires of hatred.

It does not matter who is hated, it could be neighbors, races, religions, or other nationalities. There is always someone we should hate, the population segmented into groups that cannot tolerate each other when rationally all should be able to live in peace.
