Overview

What is good, what is evil?

  • On a personal level each individual chooses what that consider good and what evil.
  • On a social level these terms should be defined by the majority.
  • Social rules should be defined by the morality of the majority, according to their definitions.

At a low level, most people agree with aspects of Natural law, such as being truthful and every persons right to life, property, and self defense. Accordingly people who act according to these rules could be considered good and those that don't could be considered evil.

The power of evil

In a competitive environment, such as obtaining positions of power, evil people will have a distinct advantage over a good as they have at their disposal many more tools to succeed, they will do what good people are not willing to win.

Evil people also have more incentive to have power over other people, because in everyday society evil acts are punished, but once you have power there are pathways to hurt others without consequence.

A governing system that creates positions of power will over time result in the evil ruling over the good morality of the majority.
